Attend this workshop to learn how you can use free open-source technology to build sustainable data pipelines. This workshop will be hands-on and you will actually build and deploy data pipelines during the workshop. We’ll go over the following:
- Creating an open-source Github-based workflow using Github Actions
- Pulling data from OpenStreetMap using Overpass Turbo
- Setting up your development environment on Macos, Linux and/or Windows
- How to automate pulling of data from a custom Google Map
- Converting data using ogr2ogr (installed with GDAL)
- Processing CSV files using csvkit
- Reading Oracle Transaction Business Intelligence (OTBI) reports using open-source JavaScript
- Publishing scheduled reports to your open data portal using open-source JavaScript run on Google Apps Script
