Collaborative Mapping 2.0: Rapid and Tasking Manager
06-26, 14:00–16:00 (Europe/Tirane), UBT B / N 014 - First Floor

Collaborative mapping is a valuable approach to creating or updating map data at scale. Whether simply improving the general data quality in an area, reacting to a crisis, or focusing on a specific data class, using the Tasking Manager and Rapid make the process a breeze.

Join us in this workshop to learn how to coordinate Tasking Manager projects in your area, and leverage the Rapid editor to make swift and impactful edits to OpenStreetMap. We will discuss sample use cases including earthquake crisis response in Turkey and Syria, as well as working together to edit OpenStreetMap in a location with missing data as a way of learning to use the tools.

The Tasking Manager is an open source project which splits a map area into manageable tasks, based on grid shapes. The Rapid editor integrates advanced mapping tools and technology to empower mappers at all levels get started quickly, making accurate and up-to-date edits to maps. Combining these tools makes editing OpenStreetMap as a team, across a defined area, into an easily managed project with big impact.
