An Introduction to OpenStreetMap - the Open Data Powering Your Maps?
08-22, 16:15–18:15 (Europe/Rome), 210

This hands-on session will introduce you to editing in OpenStreetMap, the data structures, and the community behind this incredible open data commons.

Let's get mapping in OpenStreetMap! Participants can learn the basics of editing, or dive deeper into tagging and relations. Attendees will learn about the OpenStreetMap project and its vast community of volunteers, how to contribute data to the map, ways to participate in the community, and how to utilize OpenStreetMap geospatial data in their own initiatives. Perhaps we'll even get outside and map some of Firenze!

Maggie currently serves as the Executive Director for OpenStreetMap US.
