DESCRIPTION:Cartografie for Amsterdam\n\nThe 'Kaart van Amsterdam' is a top
ographic map widely used within the municipality of Amsterdam. It has been
cartographically designed and adjusted during the past decades and gets a
nnual updates. The cartographic software currently in use is end-of-life a
nd needs replacement. To test if QGIS could be an option for that\, they r
an a proof of concept project to recreate exactly the same map in QGIS. Th
e data preparation and update process needed a redesign as well\, because
QGIS is data based and not just a digital drawing.\nThis presentation will
show the process\, challenges\, found solutions and the resulting map. tl
\;dr QGIS has stunning cartographic capabilities!
