DESCRIPTION:Large organizations have numerous users and a multitude of appl
ications to deploy\, update\, maintain and adapt. Be it in public organiza
tions or private key accounts\, IT services face challenges when deploying
applications to large amount of users.\n\nSince QGIS has a wide area of u
se cases and user typology\, it can be complicated to conjugate industrial
deployment in an urbanized IT infrastructure\, and adaptation of the sof
tware to user's needs.\n\nIn this presentation\, we first detail the chall
enges faced by large organizations wanting to deploy QGIS for numerous use
rs.\n\nThen we present a strategy to combine efficient automated deploymen
t and configuration management to adapt installed QGIS versions to specifi
c users needs.\n\nThis strategy comes with specific opensource tools easin
g deployments\, and incorporated into the toolset of system administrators
\, especially on windows platforms.\n\nWe then talk about future needs and
  improvements to these tools.
