DESCRIPTION:This hands-on workshop introduces participants to a complete mo
bile GIS workflow using QField and QGIS\, based on a real-world accessibil
ity mapping exercise.\n\nParticipants will collaboratively survey the conf
erence venue to identify and document accessibility barriers such as entra
 nces\, stairs\, ramps\, signage\, and facilities. Working in small teams\,
they will collect structured geospatial data directly on-site using QFiel
 d\, including attributes\, comments\, and photos.\n\nThe collected data is
synchronized into a shared QGIS project\, where results are reviewed\, an
alyzed\, and discussed live. This creates a highly interactive learning ex
perience in which participants not only observe but actively contribute to
a meaningful dataset.\n\nThe workshop demonstrates how mobile GIS can be
applied efficiently in spatial planning and accessibility analysis. It cov
ers the full workflow from project setup and field data collection to sync
hronization and evaluation in QGIS.\n\nDesigned for beginners to professio
nal users\, the session highlights the power of open-source tools in a pra
ctical and engaging context\, turning the venue itself into a live GIS lea
 rning environment.
