DESCRIPTION:The Canton of Basel-Stadt uses QGIS as the main tool for publis
hing geospatial data. We pursue the goal of a self-service data publicatio
n to enable departments to publish their data independently.\nIn this appr
oach\, departments create their own QGIS projects. These projects are used
directly for publication and are processed in an automated workflow. The
data is validated and converted into a cloud format\, metadata is added\,
and the projects are published through a shared QGIS Server endpoint. The
QGIS Layer Definitions are saved as an artifact together with the data in
an Object Storage and are loaded dynamically into QGIS Server.\nDuring the
publication workflow the data and the .qlr-file is automatically included
into the qigs project during runtime.\nThis presentation introduces the a
pproach and shares practical experiences from its implementation in the Ca
 nton of Basel-Stadt.
