DESCRIPTION:Expressions are one of QGIS's key features and a major pillar o
f its success. Powerful\, flexible\, and available almost everywhere in th
e interface\, they allow for complete customization of any QGIS project\,
regardless of the desired level of complexity. Expressions provide a unifi
ed language that opens the door to increasingly creative and efficient use
s\, and are enriched with new features in each new version of QGIS.\n\nThi
s workshop will provide an opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of
  this language\, starting with its fundamentals—expression structure\, o
perators\, and essential functions—and gradually progressing to more adv
anced uses such as conditional expressions\, geometry generation\, and var
iable manipulation.\n\nWe will cover the use of expressions in several par
ts of a QGIS project:\n• Customizing labels\n• Defining dynamic symbol
ogies\n• Configuring elements in layouts\n• Creating dynamic feature f
orms\n• Advanced use in the field calculator\n• Filtering and selectin
 g features (layer filters\, expression selection\, dynamic subsets)\n• G
 eoprocessing\n• etc.\n\nThrough concrete examples\, participants will le
arn to fully leverage the potential of expressions. The workshop also aims
to be a forum for discussion: everyone will be able to share their ideas\
 , challenges\, needs\, and tips\, contributing to a collective reflection
on best practices and the future development of this essential language in
  QGIS.
