The Power of Maps!
07-03, 11:50–12:15 (Europe/Amsterdam), Podium
Language: English

Maps are powerful visualizations, we do not only use them to describe our world but they also shape our world. Sometimes we see that simple lines or names can turn into conflicts, protest or even worse.. Have you ever wondered why maps are so powerful? And as a maker; how do you use this super power in a responsible way?

A Map is just a mere model.. Coloured by time, history and culture. But we often present them as if they hold the objective truth.

This is a plea for more uncertainty in maps. Including ready to implement examples!
