The MapTiler Plugin for QGIS is now over 6 years old and, with well over 500,000 downloads, is in the top 30 QGIS plugins. This talk reveals the plugin's history, functionality, and future.
I'll show the great cartography achievable by combining the power of open-source tools and data, and discuss the business benefits of creating open-source components.
Finally, the talk will cover MapTiler's commitment to open source through the MapTiler Open Foundation. Including the donations to OSGeo and the wider FOSS4G Community, and who we are looking to support in the future.
