Earth Observation Data Hub: get started exploring, analysing and developing new space-enabled workflows
2026-10-12 , Think

The UK's Earth Observation Data Hub is now operational and ready to use with new tools for data explorers, analysts and developers. Join this workshop to get started using EO data from the hub by following along a practical example.

No experience of EO data or coding required! This hands-on workshop will get you started using EO Data Hub whatever your level of experience with Earth Observation data.

We will explore new features of the Data Hub that make data access and analysis easy, using a combination of open data sources.

Come and join in by following along the example workflows, then explore where you are most comfortable:

Explore, compare and export images in the hub's online Resource Catalogue
Play with the QGIS plugin
Work with the hub's Jupyter notebook service using ready-made notebooks to develop more customisation

By the end of the workshop you will be able to use the EO Data Hub for analysing landscape change using one or more methods that you will be able to take away and use in your day to day workflows for providing data driven evidence.

Isabelle is a Senior Earth Observation Consultant at the Satellite Applications Catapult, part of the team delivering the EO Data Hub programme and specialising in hosting workshops for both new and seasoned EO data users.
