DESCRIPTION:The **European Space Agency's** [*"APEX"*](https://apex.esa.int
/) project provides a set of project tools and services designed to help E
arth Observation community disseminate the outputs of EO based research an
d development work. One of these tools is the [**Geospatial Explorer**](
https://apex.esa.int/services/geospatial-explorer) - an interactive web ma
p dashboard which practitioners can use to build their own solution using
entirely **no code environment**.\n\nIn this workshop\, delegates will use
the **Geospatial Explorer Configuration Builder** to create their own web
map application. Lead by **Sparkgeo** (developers of the "GE") and accom
panied by comprehensive workshop notes\, attendees will:\n\n* Gain a **com
prehensive insight** into the capabilities of the Geospatial Explorer \n*
**Build their very own** bespoke configuration\, featuring cool data visu
alisations\, interactive charts and graphs\, time series animations\, data
filters and constraints\, interactive "storymaps" and more \n* Work with
and learn about **cloud native** geospatial data and services including a
fascinating array of *earth observation* data and derived products\n* Work
with and learn about **spatio-temporal asset catalogues** - the metadata
standard for EO\n* Witness **on-the-fly EO algorithm execution** from the
APEX algorithm catalogue\n* **Have fun**\n\n**Prerequisites!**\n\nHere is
the best bit. The workshop requires:\n* **NO** earth observation experien
ce \n* **NO** software development experience \n* **NO** pre-installed too
ls or environments on your machine\n* **NO** detailed technical knowledge\
 n\nThe **ONLY** requirements are:\n* A **laptop and WiFi**\n* **Enthusiasm
**\n* Oh\, and maybe some **coffee**
