Since 2007, our volunteer group has maintained and developed OpenStreetMap’s coverage of Silicon Valley and the Bay Area. As a relatively small local community per capita, we take creative approaches to upholding the map’s credibility and relevance.
Since 2007, a group of volunteers have maintained and developed OpenStreetMap’s coverage of San José, Silicon Valley, and the Bay Area under the aegis of Open Source San José. As a relatively small local community per capita, we take creative approaches to upholding the map’s credibility and relevance, from imports to scraping to small-scale software development.
Minh is a mapper and community organizer for OpenStreetMap and OpenHistoricalMap. He organizes Silicon Valley’s volunteer mapping community as part of Open Source San José. He also facilitates software development for the OpenStreetMap Foundation and serves as an advisor to OpenHistoricalMap. On any given day, you can find him roaming the streets of San José looking for quirky and intriguing things to add to both maps.
