Pratyush Kumar Das is pursuing a Doctor of Engineering in Remote Sensing and GIS at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, where he also earned his master’s degree. His doctoral research focuses on sugarcane crop classification using multi-temporal satellite data and deep learning. He has 5 years of professional experience as a Remote Sensing Scientist and GIS Developer, developing data-driven solutions that integrate satellite, soil, and climate data for crop monitoring and agricultural decision-making. He is also a member of the NixOS organization and an active contributor to Nixpkgs, with a focus on scientific and geospatial packages.
