MapServer, a founding OSGeo project, is widely used for publishing spatial data and interactive web mapping applications. This talk provides an overview of the new 8.6 release and a preview of the upcoming 8.8 release, highlighting key enhancements and features. Integration with powerful new GDAL features, such as pipelines and cloud-native drivers, is demonstrated, along with results from the first-ever MapServer User Survey.
