Call for general talks @FOSS4G Europe 2026!

With great excitement, we invite you to contribute to the European place-to-be geospatial event of the year by presenting your geospatial related work in front of a kind, diverse, professional and curious audience @ FOSS4G Europe 2026!

Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) Europe is the European flagship event of OSGeo and the hotspot of all that is geospatial: software, data, policies, laws, use cases, transitions, education, governance.

You can submit three types of contributions: a talk for the general track, a workshop and/or an academic paper.

The CfP for workshops opened on 26th of January and is extended until the 20th of February.
Follow this link to send your contribution.

The CfP for the general track opens on 16th of February and closes on the 22nd of March.

Keep an eye on the website for the Academic Call for Papers.

Talks

One slot has a total of 30 minutes: 20 minutes for the talk; 5 minutes for questions and answers; 5 minutes for the participants to change rooms. At FOSS4G Europe 2026, we can accommodate 5 parallel tracks, with sessions of 1 to 1.5 h long. Thus, we can accept an approximate number of 110 talks.

Of course, the program committee will happily negotiate for more room if need be, however, we will not be able to exceed a maximum of 130 general talks.
