DESCRIPTION:The presentation will discuss Q-MOKA\, a GIS application develo
ped in collaboration with the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure and Tran
sportation to manage and analyze traffic accidents along the Greek Primary
and Transeuropean Road Network. Q-MOKA addresses the challenges of the ex
isting Traffic Accident Registry\, which lacked geospatial referencing and
robust data validation. Built around QGIS and Postgres/PostGIS\, Q-MOKA o
ffers several key functionalities:\n\n• Network Model: Supports multipl
e linear referencing systems for accurate accident location representation
.\n\n• Dual-Carriageway Management: Ensures consistent linear referenci
ng even during network realignments.\n\n• Flexible Accident Location: R
ecords accidents by X\,Y coordinates or route/offset\, maintaining synchro
nization between the two methods.\n\n• Linear and Point Data Management
: Allows creation and editing of additional linear and point event data re
levant to the Agency (e.g.\, number of lanes\, speed limits).\n\n• Geog
raphic Mapping: Provides route-level accident mapping based on the recordi
ng service.\n\n• Custom QGIS Forms: Facilitates data entry and manageme
nt through user-friendly forms.\n\nThe presentation will delve into the te
chnical aspects of Q-MOKA\, including its database structure\, configurati
on options\, and potential future enhancements. By offering a robust and u
ser-friendly platform for traffic accident management and analysis\, Q-MOK
A contributes to improved road safety and informed decision-making in Gree
 ce.\n\nKeywords: Traffic accident\, GIS\, QGIS\, PostgreSQL\, PostGIS\, li
