The very first open source geospatial foundation diversity statement … was about representation for the “C Tribe” and the “Java Tribe”! Check in with this presentation for an update from the Java crew!
This talk covers three foundation Java Geospatial Projects that do the heavy lifting behind applications you know and love:
- GeoTools - Open-source Java library that provides tools for geospatial data.
- JTS Topology Suite - Java library for creating and manipulating vector geometry.
- ImageN - image and raster processing
We have been having an amazing year, and an amazingly active year. There have been big changes in the Java ecosystems for us to respond to. We have also been revising our community interaction as development culture changes around communication and security.
Attend this talk to learn more about this projects, their project teams, and what we are doing next.
