Welcome to the Call for Presentations for the FOSS4G 2025 Japan Conference being held October 12 at the Ikuta Campus, Senshu University .

At the 12th conference, we welcome submissions from all levels of expertise, from high-level contributors to FOSS4G end users, from academics to community projects.

Call for Presentations Period

Monday, July 28, 2025 - Sunday, August 24, 2025, 23:59 (Japan Standard Time)

Presentation Formats

There are three presentation formats available:

• Presentation (20min): full presentations are limited to 15 minutes of content with 5 minutes for questions.
• Short Presentation (10min): short presentations are limited to 7 minutes of content and 5 minutes for questions. This format is intended for casual presentations, such as introducing simple use cases or mid-term research presentations.
• Poster Presentation (60min): poster presentations are limited to A0 size poster.

All presentations are delivered over the Conference Day, October 12th.

Notes

• The presentation and short presentation will be streamed and archived on YouTube. By submitting this presentation, you agree to the streaming and archiving of your presentation on YouTube.
• In order to make FOSS4G knowledge open to the public, the organizers will share the content of your presentation on the OSGeo.JP website, Facebook, etc.
• There is a limit to the number of presentation slots available. If there are more submissions than the limit, the content will be reviewed by the organizers.
• Regardless of the presentation slot limit, the following submissions will be rejected:
• Presentations not related to FOSS4G
• Submitting the same content multiple times
• Publications that violate the Code of Conduct
• You may submit multiple presentations, but each presentation must be a different presentation.
• Poster presenters must print their own posters. The organizers will not print posters.
• The organizers will provide the tape needed to stick the posters on the walls.
• Emails regarding the announcement will be sent to the email address registered with Pretalx.

Important Dates

• Submission deadline: Sunday, August 24, 2025
• Presentation Review: Monday, August 25, 2025 to Friday, September 5, 2025
• Acceptance Notifications: Monday, September 7, 2025 (planned)
• Time schedule published: Thursday, September 11, 2025 (planned)
