This talk examines the critical role of QField's new plugin framework in complementing the aerial rapid mapping effort with crowdsourced oblique (terrestrial) imagery. We will discuss a quickly built proof-of-concept (POC) project that used QField's new customizable plugins, allowing first responders, civil protection agencies, and citizens to map and report damages efficiently. The session will introduce the plugin framework, its easy deployment through QFieldCloud, and its possible impact on field data collection workflows in enterprise and community settings.
